And that was how I imagined my welcome into Slytherin House earlier today went. :D It was a pleasant surprise, as everyone seemed to get sorted to a House they didn’t care for, but then nice things happen.

I am ridiculously in-love with the dungeons and the common rooms. I can hear the lake!? Falling asleep to the sound of water is the BEST thing. And we see to its depths!? How badass is that? I love how Slytherin house is like one very exclusive, very protective Frat. Exactly like the Brotherhood. I suddenly love my homebase 23840239012394x more.

And of course Professor Lehnsherr’s underwater experiments.
(Sometimes the Professor doesn’t do morning jogs, but morning swims. Who the fuck said he couldn’t alter for himself a set of freshwater-favoring shark gills when he transformed? And it was good to check up discreetly on the kids in the Common Room just to make sure no nonsense ensured. There STILL were several who TRIED to sneak in a lover from another House. Of course, he couldn’t blame them, personally.)

(Of course lifting Giant Kraken out of enchanted lakes was more badass than lifting Muggle-invented machinery, but Lehnsherr was a romantic. Would a Slytherin honestly settle for anything less? Well. Did Davey Jones need his drums? All Lehnsherr needed was Xavier.)

(There was something to be said about having a Potions Master like Professor Lehnsherr as Head of House. Victory parties after Quidditch matches were always Perfection. After all, “Piss is not an option.”)

(Professor Xavier and Professor Lehnsherr, like all Slytherin and Ravenclaw, enjoy a friendly sort of competition and camaraderie. Not that he wasn’t friendly to the other heads, it’s just that Logan brewed his own moonshine and Moira… preferred Muggle labels. They made it a deal: Xavier animated the chess pieces, if Lehnsherr brought the booze. Fair enough.)

(Professor Xavier thinks the flask’s outrageous ‘squid-head-shape’ should have warned him it was destined for a checkmate.)

The Slytherin dormitories are at the lowest point of the castle, and so temperatures may drop more quickly there than anywhere else, especially in the winter. Professor Lehnsherr strongly suggests turtlenecks and prefers scarves or capes to keep warm. Certain famous alumni were also known to wear scarves in their day.

And for some reason it made me really happy. True though, we went to elementary, middle, and high school together and we were friends whenever we got to actually see each other. Unfortunately, we didn’t have too many classes together. Still, it was nice to hear him say that.
